Get ready to grab some gloves and a shovel and join Conservancy and community volunteers to help revitalize Brookdale Park's landscape!
Volunteers will be 1) cutting back invasive weeds and overgrown brush and 2) mulching and amending soil for new planting areas at the Overlook (see map below for location info). All work done is designed to maintain the function and integrity of Brookdale Park's original Olmsted master plan while improving wildlife habitat.
Whether it is because you have a sense of duty to protect the park or are just looking for a great excuse to work outdoors with other civic minded people, you can make a tremendous difference by coming out and digging in with fellow park volunteers.
Families with children ages 6 and up are welcome provided that accompanying parents are attentive. Hand tools, water and healthy snacks will be provided, but please bring gardening/work gloves.
